Liner Love

Okay okay, I'll admit it. I'm a self-confessed liner junkie. Rain or shine liner always makes up my makeup look, whether a full on feline flick or a little subtle line.

But, though I wear it everyday I like to stick to what I know, which is why, I only own three. So for the low-down on these little liners read on...

The Felt Tip
Fitting firmly into this category is the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. Now I love the concept of a felt tip liner, the small nib suggests some serious precision and the price is something I could get used to. However, the age old phrase "you pay for what you get" seems to ring true as try as I might I have not yet been able to create a clean black line. The liner comes out patchy and when I try to go over the patches the nib wipes off even more of the liner which is not ideal. However, I'm still intrigued by the idea of a felt liner and have heard good things about L'Oreal's offering. So the search for the top of the felt tips continues...

The Gel Liner
Representing the gel liner's is Maybelline's Eyestudio Lasting Drama. Now I can't say that this is the best gel liner in the world as this is the only one I've tried. But what I can say is that its sooo good that I didn't feel the need to look elsewhere for another one. The consistency is perfect, not to thin and not to thick. Plus it blends beautifully into eye shadows and can be used sparingly for those barely there makeup looks or you can use lashing to create that sexy smoldering feline look. However, though this little beauty has served me like a dream during the cooler months, the sunny season has had this gel smudging a fair amount which has had me turning back to my old faithful liquid liner...

The Liquid Liner
Fighting its way to the forefront is 2True's Effortless Eye Liner. Now when it comes to liquid liners, I've tried loads over the years but only one has earned its permanent position in my makeup bag. At a budget brilliant £1.99, this little liner steals the show. It's so easy to apply, dries super quickly to avoid any smudgy moments and is a true black colour rather than a grey-black. Plus I've had so many compliments whilst wearing this liner, *win* with people asking me what liner I'm wearing and where they can get it from.

So today's winner is... Maybelline's Eyestudio Lasting Drama... AND 2True's Effortless Eye Liner coz a girl can never have to many eyeliners right?
