Smokey and Simple

Though I have an unhealthy amount of eye shadows and some solid staple lippies, my day to day make up look remains fairly steady. Irrespective of which products I use, the overall effect tends to be dewy skin, a nude lip (though I splash out the colour every now and again) and a smokey brown eye.

I like to use the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation as my base as it gives me a glowy look without appearing too oily. On bad skin days I'll go over my blemishes with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light but I didn't need it today *fist pumps*. Then I like to use the YSL Touche Éclat to brighten under my eyes.

If I'm going wild, I may change my bronzey brown favourite Smog from Urban Decay's Naked Palette to the similarly bronzey brown Woodwinked by M.A.C (today is one of those days). When it comes to my eyes I like to play it safe though a little sultry (I like a bit of smokiness). Today's cut include Maybelline's 24hr Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze, which is a lovely texture and gives the aforementioned Woodwinked something to cling to. My staple liner is Maybelline's Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner in Black which is probably the product I can count on to appear in pretty much every makeup look I do. Then I add a slick of mascara. I've been using Clump Defy by Max Factor recently but I'm pretty fickle when it comes to my eyelashes and flit between several.

I use my Nars Laguna Bronzer (not pictured) to contour. Again this is a veteran in my makeup bag and is almost always my go to bronzer. Then to add a little flush to my cheeks I'll often choose a peachy-pink blush. Today's pick was from The Body Shop and is named 04 (how very exciting!)

When it comes to lip products, this is the place where I'm prepared to dare. I do like a good pop of colour every now and then but today I chose to keep nice 'n' nude with Viva Glam V by M.A.C and a final slick of Dior Addict's lipgloss in Pink Trench 257

So there you have it, what's you're staple make up look?
