June Favourites

This month's humid heat has had my makeup slipping everywhere (despite having dry to normal skin). And just as my layers of clothes have lightened (goodbye chunky knits), so too has my face base. This month I've been loving No.7's Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser in the shade Medium Fair. Though the coverage is very light, it evens out my skin tone beautifully and I just touch up any little blemishes with a concealer afterwards for a flawless finish. The best part? It feels sooo light and gives a lovely natural finish. But for super sunny days I've been loving the Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets to blot away any unwanted moisture.

As I mentioned, my dry to normal skin has been playing havoc this month with stubborn dry patches springing up on my cheeks. Cue Balance Me Extra Care Radiance Face Oil. I have been slathering this stuff on before my moisturiser every night! It works really well after I've cleansed my skin and gently buffed my skin with a flannel.

Eyes-wise, this month the Stila In The Light palette has been killingggg it! The champagne, bronze and copper shades have had me drooling and I've had so many compliments on my eye makeup. For £25 this palette is a real rival for the Naked Palette as it is beautifully pigmented and can easily take you from day to night.

For my lips I've discovered a lovely little dupe in the form of MUA's Power Pout Colour Intense Tint & Balm. Think Clinque's Chubby Stick or Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains but a fraction of the price! At £3, this little beauty has the same soft balmy texture, lovely pigment and glides on effortlessly. It's only flaw is the colour range which is relatively limited at the moment though my favourite Broken Hearted is a gorgeous deep Raspberry shade and I have my eye on Irreplaceable which is slightly more lilacy toned.

Secondly E.l.f have really been doing it for me this month and I've been reaching for their Mineral Lip Gloss in the shade Wild repeatedly this month. It's a pretty corally pink pick and has been essential in my handbag during June.

Now, ever since hearing about Estée Lauder's Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent I have been lusting after it madly. I've tried it numerous times (every time I go past Boots, Debenhams, House of Fraser... you get the gist) it smells delicious and is the quintessential summer holiday scent. However, it's not really budget friendly, and I've not had the heart to part with its £45 price tag yet. However, in the meantime, I noticed The Body Shop had their Body Mist's on a half price offer for those with a "Love Your Body Card" (highly recommend this btw!). So I picked up their Coconut scent which smells so summery. It's by no means a dupe for Bronze Goddess which is coconutty and floral (kind of like sun cream but better!) but it's doing a good job as my summer scent for now.

Another little goody I've been loving the smell of is a steal at just £2.50 and is the Spa candle from Tesco. I haven't even had to burn it as the wax alone kicks out a lovely fresh scent, similar to the smell of Liz Earles Tonic Water.

Finally, I've been busy perusing the pages of my namesake ELLE Magazine and quickly building a wish list as long as my arm... Essie, Aveda and La Roche-Posay, I'm coming for youuu! Plus their Beauty Q & A makes for a very helpful read.

So that's it. Now notepad and pen at the ready, I'm keeping an eye out for next month's faves!
