IMATS/London Haul

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was lucky enough to attend IMATS 2013 in London. As you can see from the picture above, I only bought products from the NYX concession since after queuing for 45 minutes there I decided that I was happy with browsing all the other stalls (although I've since learned that NARS were offering up to 60% off of the price of their products *should have gone there!*).

I really wanted to try out one of the NYX blushers because they've received so many rave reviews in the blogging community. I was lucky to get my hands on two beautiful shades, Summer Peach and Peach. Surprisingly Peach is a decidedly pinky tone with only the tiniest hint of peach whereas Summer Peach is a lovely warm peach shade. Whilst Peach is matte, Summer Peach appears very shimmery in the pan, however, on the cheeks its not too glittery with only a very subtle shimmer. I really like both shades as my blusher collection is largely peachy so it actually came as a welcome surprise when the actual Peach shade appeared a pretty babydoll pink on the cheeks. I think that both were around £5.50 with the IMATS discount.

Next up was NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in French Kiss which is a beautiful colour (kind of like NARS orgasm but a LOT more opaque) its really long lasting and smells like cherries and vanilla which I love! As it comes out quite thick I like to apply a little bit and then pat it in with my finger into the rest of my lips for a more subtle look which I love! The formula? Incredible and the smell? Delicious!

When queuing I came across the NYX eye and lip liners. I really like Coffee by M.A.C but I'm not so fond of its price tag. I managed to find a dupe in the shade Y2K (which is actually a lip liner) for around £2. I know it's a lip liner but I really love the colour and its really soft and beautifully pigmented so I thought I'd go for it.

The final thing I picked up at IMATS was the NYX Box of Eye Shadows which has 112 shades mainly for the eyes but with some cheek colours thrown in there too. I thought it was an absolute bargain as it was selling at £16 down from around £35. The pigmentation is lovely with some of my favourite shades producing a velvety soft texture. I'll do a more detailed review once I've had a chance to try more shades as I've only been wearing it for 3 days. The only problem I have now is to find a home for this GIANT palette.

After leaving IMATS we popped to the PIXI store on the way home and I picked up a bottle of the massively hyped-over Pixi Glow Tonic (which comes label free since they had run out of labels), I've only been using it for 4 nights but its already made a noticeable difference to my skin which is looking a lot fresher and more radiant. At £16 I think its a real bargain for the quality it provides but I'll do a full skin care routine in a separate post once I've given this product a proper test run.

Well that's all for today folks but I'm uploading a post everyday so stay tuned!
