My Daily Skincare Routine

From Left to Right:

Good Things Fresh Start Cleanser 150ml - £4.99 from Boots
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant 50ml - £25.00 from Boots
Nivea Visage Light Moisturising Day Cream 50ml - £3.99 from Boots
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer (mine's 30ml from the care essentials kit but you can get a 100ml bottle on its own for £12.75 from John Lewis)
Tea Tree Water Toner 100g - £3.75 from Lush
Saint Ives Timeless Skin Daily Microdermabrasion 125ml - £5.49 from Tesco

It's taken me years of switching products, mixing different cleansers, moisturisers and scrubs but finally, I've come up with a routine that makes my skin happy as a clam :). I know everyone's skin is different so what works for me may not work for everyone, but many of these products work well on all skin types!

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is splash my face with some cold water before using my Good Things cleanser to remove any hint of panda eyes. I always apply some Nivea moisturiser before applying make-up (I've found that it helps to even out my skin tone and make my foundation look flawless).

In the evening to remove my makeup, I fill a sink with hot water and apply some Good Things cleanser all over my face before removing with a cloth or flannel. Once my face is dry I spritz a little Liz Earle Toner on my face (the reason I like the 30ml bottle is because of it's spray top which I find easier to use than applying toner with a cotton pad). I then moisturise with the Nivea Light Moisturiser.

When pesky blemishes strike, I love Lush's Tea Tree Toner water, which work wonders! Previously I used this toner instead of Liz Earle's but after spritzing Tea Tree all over my face every day for several weeks, my face became REALLY dry! (Tea Tree is an antiseptic and dried up the oily residue on my face, but I didn't realise that I was drying up ALL the oil, which helps to keep my skin hydrated - ooops!) So I switched things around and now I just apply some of the Tea Tree Toner onto a cotton bud and use it directly on blemishes and spots, and when I wake up in the morning they've practically disappeared! (Happy Days!) Finally I apply Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream on any areas that are dry/irritated/chapped or under-nourished, such as my lips, chin, etc.

The Result? Happy, healthy, hydrated skin... YIPPEEEEEE :D

What products make your skin smileee?
